About

A career built on an international scale — and around a single idea.

The idea that privacy and data protection are, in the end, contemporary ways of protecting human dignity.

I have worked in privacy and data protection since before the field had the name it carries in Brazil today.

In more than ten years of practice, I have led projects across multiple jurisdictions — Brazil, Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia — serving everyone from individuals with specific situations to multinational corporate groups operating in dozens of countries. That journey gave me something I consider rare in this field: the ability to move fluently between distinct legal regimes without losing sight of what really matters in each case.

I hold a law degree, an LL.M. in Technology Law from the Université de Montréal and further training in Privacy, Information Governance and Access in the Digital Enterprise from the University of Toronto. I also hold a graduate specialization in Neuroscience from PUCRS and an MBA in Digital Marketing — a combination that fuels my interest in the less obvious intersections of law, human behavior and technology.

Why I chose this field

When I began specializing in privacy and data protection, more than a decade ago, it was a field few colleagues took seriously. Today, with artificial intelligence making decisions that affect people, technologies capable of capturing even mental states, and children exposed online before they learn to read, this field has become central.

I do not regret the choice. And I remain passionate about the rare combination it demands: technical rigor, human sensitivity and a vision of the future.

How I work

Every project and every client receives personal attention. I do not sell off-the-shelf packages: each situation is designed for its context, its scale and its moment. The legal complexity stays on my side of the table — on the client’s side stays clarity about the options, the risks and the possible paths.

I work in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French, which allows me to serve Brazilian clients and international operations involving Brazil with equal ease.
